Moving into a new home in Irvine, CA, this homeowner quickly realized the garage didn't have the storage needed to keep everything organized. We created a custom setup with garage cabinets, slatwall, and a dedicated workbench, giving the space plenty of practical storage while keeping everyday items accessible and the garage looking clean.
One of the biggest challenges was finding a way to conceal the water heater without interfering with the homeowner's car. Traditional cabinet doors didn't have enough clearance to swing open, so sliding doors provided a smart, space-saving solution. The finished design neatly hides the water heater while maintaining easy access and preserving valuable parking space. It's a great example of how custom garage storage can solve unique layout challenges while making a new home feel more organized from day one.
